Visiting New Mexico
Wednesday, July 8th, 2009According to Kathlene Ferris, “the upcoming New Mexico centennial celebrations in 2012 offers a unique opprtunity for students, scholars, and researchers around the state to take part in a unified scholarly conversation — a discussion of the events leading up to New Mexico’s admission into the Union in 1912.”
Anne Marie and I were lucky to be able to meet with project participants and train staff from around the state in digital imaging and Dublin Core best practices while focusing on their CONTENTdm interface.
“This three year project will digitize and make available more than 12,000 items from NM cultural heritage institutions to be used as a statewide resource for the study of NM history and culture.”
Keep watch for this project–it should be great!
